Gallerys (I visited in London this weekend).....

and my findings

KAREN STAMPER
http://karenstamper.co.uk/

I came across Karen at the Prelude art fair in Spitalfields market (http://inspiredartfair.com/home.php)

She includes a manifesto on her website:

I want to make my art accessible without compromising its integrity

I make traditionalist art for a modern society

I'm loathed and inspired by feminism in equal measures

In an ideal society, there would be no need for feminism

Everything's been done already; re-invent, re-cycle, re-juvinate

I want to make a note of this because in a lecture with Simon we were discussing how old fashioned they are, but I think hers is interesting, current and relevant.

CONCRETE HERMIT AND ANTHONY BURRIL

Concrete hermit is a gallery, shop and a studio in
East London. Anthony Burrills work is currently showing there and I was struck by his bold images and his use of text.
